Whenever I create a new page, the page settings have to be reset to default. All pages use the default template and I do not have any additional templates. The new pages don’t get the layout I would prefer, but instead always have sidebar “none”, and custom content width “100 %”. I have used these settings with a few pages, but don’t want these by default. If I click “Reset all options to default” the options are as wanted. But something seems to be wrong as the default options are not set in the beginning.

  • Hi @sallakos,

Can you please provide us with a screencast showing this issue?
In the meantime, I kindly recommend you clear the cache of the browser and see if it solves the issue.

    Thank you!

Here you can see a screencast. It is in Finnish, but I don’t think it matters too much. The same thing happens in all of my sites using Neve and clearing cache makes no difference.

    Hello @sallakos,

The individual options like sidebar and content width for pages override the Customizer settings, and those need to be manually adjusted while editing each page. For inheriting the Customizer settings, you can choose Inherit for the sidebar and disable the custom content width: https://prnt.sc/10z9utm

Only the posts can be controlled by default from the Customizer settings, then to be more specific the individual options will be used. On pages, the individual options take higher priority from the beginning.

    I hope it helps!

@danamv Thank you for the reply. So there is no possible way to set what settings should pages get by default?

    Hi @sallakos,

I am afraid that this is the normal behavior of the page’s default settings.

If you consider it useful to have the individual options disabled by default on pages, you can post/vote this idea on the public roadmap of the theme: https://neve.nolt.io/

    Thank you!

@danamv Thank you very much, this was new behaviour to me. I’ll mark this as resolved now then.
