• I have a custom header that i installed with Elementor, but i then found a more fitting theme for me, but when i install and activate the new theme, the same old elementor header is still visible on the main page! And i don’t want to delete the header template itself, because i want to work on that later on…

HOW do i get the new theme to appear without the header blocking the theme from appearing?

  • Hi,

Problem is elementor makes header higher priority. You need to need to change visibility of that header. You can save them as template and give page to that template which will make theme design as a default design.

I hope that will work if not let me know.
    Thank you

I’m not super-familiar with Elementor, but as it’s a PLUGIN and not a THEME, I’m supposing it’s features are meant to work with all themes. That would explain why your custom Elementor header remains active on your site after switching themes.

Perhaps there’s a way to de-activate the header template without deleting it? I’ve no idea.

Please post in the Elementor plugin’s own support forum to get help from the plugin’s authors and user community.

    Good luck!
