  • Try deleting all themes in the wp-content/themes folder except for the default and classic themes.

Thanks esmi for the reply, but i have no more no more default and classic themes in the wp-content/themes folder. I am having difficulty finding where is the place of the theme that I should upload and reinstall in wp-content?

thanks for any help or direction.

Download a fresh copy of your version of WordPress to your local machine. Unpack the archive and navigate to the wp-content/themes sub-folder. Upload the default and classic folder to the same wp-content/themes on your server.

just another question esmi or anybody if it not to much asking, about When you backed up your database, is there a place to do it right there in wp or in my hosting account and do you copy it into a folder on your hard drive?

    Thank for any direction

There are a number of plugins that you can use that will allow you to make backups of your database – eg:

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/dbc-backup/

You can also backup your database manually using tools that should be provided by your host – eg. PhpMyAdmin.

No matter which route you use, I’d strongly recommend that you store some backup copies (perhaps that last 3 – 6 backup files) on your own computer.
