Reuseable Block problem
-
Hello,
i did some reusable blocks and all worked fineonly now, by creating one in the page, with a lot of links and SVG icons to it.
it, works once and then it does not show up again.
checking on, Reusable Blocks list, open this block and it is empty.
it does not like SVG icons?
or why it acts spooky?
thanks

Hi there,
SVG icons shouldn’t cause any issues here.
Can you show a couple of screenshots or a short video of the issue?
Let me know π
Strange, I would need to see the issue to know what’s going on.
Is there anything in the Console if you right-click + Inspect the page when the issue happens?
Tom, i guess it is related to this, what i just posted
Spooky SVGFound that issue, but I don’t think it would contribute to the SVG being removed completely.
Does this happen with the provided SVGs in the controls?
Hi Tom,
to both, provided and self-made.But,
but if you place the svg in customs html, it won’t do it.

<img class="style-svg aligncenter" src="https://www.xxx/icon.svg">Not too sure what that URL is.
Any chance you can share a short video of the issue?
Hi Tom,
I don’t understand the video, what should I record?
Now, I experience this reusableblock problem again.
but without SVG icons.
here it’s broken again.
https://ibb.co/K7NBYNjon another page, it is still ok, same block both.
https://ibb.co/5FVD1F6and here I try to delete the broken block, which I did, but by saving the post, it shows me this option on the right-hand site.
https://ibb.co/3yCxbjfand on another post, where the block still looks good, i get this Post link,
which brings me to refresh the same post.
https://ibb.co/Jm0NYY9Ok, so let’s break it down a bit.
1. You have a single re-usable block.
2. On one page, this re-usable block looks as it should.
3. On another page, it looks broken on the frontend.
4. Both pages look good in the editor. On the broken page, do you have any other re-usable blocks on the page? What about the good page?
1. You have a single re-usable block.
sometimes 22. On one page, this re-usable block looks as it should.
Yes, it looks good, and the second reusableblock too.3. On another page, it looks broken on the frontend.
on another page, the same block or both are broken.(by checking now, a frontend broken block, I open edit and I see, both blocks, are ok.
save again and blocks are fine again…without doing anything, apart from open and save…)Tom, looking now at all pages, all blocks are fine again and nothing was broken like on the images I post before.
I need a psychiatrist…
i always clean my caches in the browser, I have no more caches on-website and server.
and still, on and off I see these broken blocks.
Or as I mentioned in a different post at generatepress, google search cache shows me a broken layout. google mobile test, can tell me, all ok or some parts could not be loaded. and this is random wise, the same page or post can be great and then, very bad. What please could give these random results.
sometimes all ok and sometimes it is bad.it drives me insane
I’ve just discovered a bug where the CSS fails to build an empty or non-published reusable block exists on the page. That might be something to check for on your problem pages?
We’ll be releasing an update ASAP to fix the issue.
Thanks,
my feeling is, it could have to do something with CSS. But if it is only the generate blocks CSS, I’m not too sure, as even on pages, wherein no reusable block is used.
it looks in google cache like this. -
