• My site has been hosted by Yahoo for several months. At some point on Monday or Tuesday, I lost access and Yahoo puts up at 410 gone error. I cannot access the wp-admin control panel to change or access any files. It asks me to install wordpress. I try to install it, get a whole bunch of error messages, and it give me an “admin” logon and password. I try to logon, and it goes back to asking me to install it again. I am not aware of any changes made to my account on Monday or Tuesday when this all went down. Is there a problem with the version???

    Please help!!

  • I can’t help, but I have had a similar problem. Plus my RSS feed will not work.

Based on what I have read on the internet and on these boards, it is becoming apparent that Yahoo! hosting and WordPress don’t always play nice.

My solution is to switch host providers. I’ve been having serious problems for about a month now, with no solutions from all parties (including Yahoo!).

I have the same problem. Looks like it happened on Tuesday. HELP!!

I’m having the same problem. I just installed wordpress on a yahoo! hosted site, and while the control panel and front page of the blog work, that’s pretty much it. Anything linking off of the front page goes directly to a 410 error.
