  • You don’t need to setup an FTP server to update your plugins. Just visit Tools->Update and select the plugins to update.

    Pardon me, but when I go to Tools->Update it asks for Connection Information with hostname information etc. Isn’t this my FTP server, or is it my blog address/login info I need to provide?

    Yes that’s correct…sorry missed that.

    Not sure if it matters what the ‘home directory for this user” is as WordPress would place the files where it needs to.
