Have you tried changing this setting from the dropdown option in the product editor screen? You should be able to change it to Sync and Show.

It seems like I do not have such an option?
I tried bulk editing all products to „sync“ and „not sync“ etc. but this did not solve it.
On product level I do have a Facebook tab but there is no „hide“ element.

The Facebook sync options for variable products are located in the Variations tab of the product

I found the mentioned button from your last post.
However, this is not an acceptable solution since we have a multitude of variants and it is simply not feasible to active each individually.

You need to update the fb_visibility meta value and you can follow the below instruction:
Using Import/Export tool: You can export the products using the default WooCommerce import/export tool. Make sure that the Export custom meta? option is checked while exporting the products. Open the exported file and update the meta:fb_visibility column as per your requirement https://d.pr/i/vaLODc. Once done, you can import the CSV file back to update your existing products with the new value. Make sure the Update existing products option is checked while importing the products.
