Neve Child Theme Changing Layout

    Hi, I am using Neve theme(2.10.1) with latest version of wordpress i.e. 5.6.1. I want to add my custom css, so for that I have downloaded child theme from official site i.e. Themeisle but after activating child theme the layout of my site is changed. Like menu is not showing, recent posts and comments widget is added automatically on every page, which leads to layout change. Please help. How can I add custom css? And how to use child theme without any change in parent theme’s layout?

    Hello @rjsharma07,

    A child theme can affect the layout of your site. When you edit the settings in the customizer with the parent theme activated, and afterward added and activated the child theme, WordPress will see your child theme as a new theme.

    Moreover, if you want to change only the CSS, there is no need to add a child theme. There is a custom CSS editor included in the customizer, specifically for this purpose. (Customizer -> Additional CSS) https://prnt.sc/107p2op
