• I am running this website since 2005 on WordPress and never thought of using any other CMS. Recently I came to know about Netlify and how it speeds up the website by serving static contents.

Has anyone converted their live website to Netlify, how was the experience and is it worth trying to port full WordPress live website to Netlify?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • It depends on what your site does. If you have interactive things, like comments and search, or ecommerce, then you need to provide a different way to do those.
There are several services out there that host your WordPress behind a barrier, and generate the static version for you. (Sitesauce, Shifter, Strattic, HardyPress)

I don’t have comments, e-commerce however I do have dynamic links and related (random) posts features. Also, I am not sure how updates work i.e. publishing 5-10 posts daily can be accommodated or not? My understanding is that with every article published, a new static version of the website is generated and published?

I want to take a decision based on real users’ experience. If any one has converted their website, please share your experience.
