• TLDR; – Absolute rubbish.

    You’d be better trying a plugin from another developer. Not sure who Facebook employed to create this plugin, but I’ve never got it to run correctly.

    The old version was installed and working fine. Since version 2 came out, I’ve updated it on all our websites. None of the sites now sync with Facebook correctly.

    Firstly, it’s the most awkward plugin to set up. It’ll redirect you out of Facebook to authenticate but by default the toggles will be set incorrectly, and will fail to connect. I scoured the internet for an age to find out there was a buried toggle I had to turn on. Even once you’ve been through this process it expects you to go through it twice before it’s actually configured.

    Secondly, once you’ve got it connected, Facebook Pixel will start flagging multiple warnings in the event manager.
    “Same event ID received for many event instances”. This happens in ‘Add to Cart’, ‘ViewCategory’, ‘View content’ and ‘Search’ tags.
    I disabled all other plugins and the issue was still happening. No support from Facebook.

    Oh, and did I mention about FB Catalogues? Once you’ve thrown plates at the wall working out how the heck it actually works in Business Manager, you’ll connect it through the plugin and it’ll stay connected for 24 hours before randomly disconnecting.

    Honestly, just avoid.
