Hey Andreas,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
With respect to your question here, you can carry out the following:
1. Install the BuddyPress Xprofile Custom Field Types plugin
2. Navigate to the Users > Profile Fields and create a custom Email field
3. Still within this section, ensure that you set the field type to “Email (HTML5 field)” and save it
4. Within your member directory loop template, add the “Member XProfile field” to it and select the “Email” field you created within it

Hi John,
a late cheers for your help – initally it worked. But a few updates ago something happened, i can´t choose html5 field for email anymore – how can i fix this?
