[Plugin: Event Calendar 3] Event Calender and php 5.3

After my hoster upgraded from php 5.2 to 5.3 the Event Calender plugin stopped working. With the plugin deactivated the site runs fine, when activated no content shows up.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
