• What is the best practice currently for a child theme using this default theme?

I’ve seen people having issues following the ‘generic’ WordPress.org knowledge base, but I’m still not sure if that was user error or not?

I’ve been playing around using child theme generators as well and noticed they all come up with different code. One suggested an additional style sheet (ctc-style.css) based on how Twenty Twenty-One theme enques. Others put calls to their own code, meaning I ended up with references to the plugin.

If I’m embarking on getting under the hood and using modified/child themes of the Twenty Twenty-One theme, is there a link or post that shows exactly what the style sheet and functions.pho should say with nothing else added?

I’m altering the footer.php file currently and don’t want to put more work in before I know I’m building correctly!

Thank you kindly for any input 🙂🙌
