    Hello,
what is the stance on caching with AMP and can you recommend a plugin that actually caches AMP?

Note: I am using AMP in Standard Mode, and I tried W3 Total Cache, Litespeed Cache and Cache Enabler. It does not seem as these provide any performance benefit according to my tests, or they simply dont cache. Not sure.

Can you recommend a caching plugin? Google Pagespeed show slow server response now since I switched to AMP.

  • Thanks for reaching out. As it happens we’re currently adding to our site documentation in relation to caching with the AMP plugin. We’ve already posted information on Persistant Object Caching and we expect to have a page level caching post up very soon, I can keep you notified here as soon as it’s ready.

In the meantime if you may find this WP Rocket resource, make use of the W3 Total Cache AMP extension (configurable within the plugin) or check with your other caching plugins. LiteSpeed cache I believe don’t perform optimisations on AMP URLs.

You’ll also find a previous support topic in relation to Cache Enabler here
