wp-ecommerce catagories

Trying to enter products into WP-ecommerce plugin which requires a category be assigned and midway down the column on the right under “Categories and Tags” it says “Select ‘Categories'” but offers no place to do so.

Also, when I click the drop down box at the top of the left column that says “View All Categories” it only drops down a repeat of the same instead of the categories I have previously entered and confirmed on the product category page. Thanks for any help.
