• I’m new to WordPress. I recently created my first post, and at some point after publication, I went to do some editing and the visual editor option was gone. I don’t know HTML, and can’t figure out how to get back to the visual editor (the tab is no longer there, and I can’t find it anywhere else). Please help!

  • Hi,

    Check with these options:

    -> Disable all the plugins
    -> Upgrade wordpress to the latest version. If it upgraded then reinstall wp-includes and wp-admin folders again with all files and folders.
    -> Make sure that you have not disabled Visual Editor from wordpress admin area -> Your Profile Page.

    Thanks,

    Shane G.

    I backed up my files and then upgraded to the latest version of WP. The problem still exists (even if I shift between different themes).
    Unfortunately I don’t know how to reinstall specific folders as mentioned above, nor do I know how to check to see if I disabled the Visual Editor. Wish I knew more about computers and IT. If it’s possible to explain the things above without taking too much of your time, I would be greatly appreciative.
    Thanks

    I’ve seen this prob before… you may need to completely reinstall WP and try again?? Don’t forget to export your xml file for backup later
