Hi @joannaritsoni ,
Thanks for reaching out to us last night.
To protect one page only, please go to “Edit” your page and set a password under our Password Protect WordPress section as per this screenshot https://nimb.ws/q7lzRo
You can also customize the password form using WordPress Customizer.
If it’s too technical for you, please drop an email to hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com. Our team will be glad to help.
We look forward to helping you achieve what you want.
this is what i want to do https://prnt.sc/x7sf9d
i want a background image in the specific page how can i do this?
Will this plugin solve the following problem?
Using the built-in WordPress password protect functionality once logged in, the user will not be prompted to re-enter the password if they navigate away from the page, or if they return to the page within 10 days. I believe this is because WordPress stores the password as a cookie. By default, this cookie will expire 10 days after it is created. I found a way to set the cookie expiration time to 0 – which will expire the cooking when the user closes the browser.
However, I want the user to be prompted to enter the password if they navigate away from the page, or close the page.
Thanks for listening.
Hi @jonmao ,
If that’s the case, you should set the cookie expiration time as short as possible, but not equal O.
Let’s say you set the cookie to expire after 1 minute. Once the cookie expires, users won’t be able to see the content when they reload the page or navigate to another place.
Our Password Protect WordPress Page (PPWP) can help you modify the cookie expiration time using setting UI instead of custom code.
Hope it makes sense to you.
