Apparently Ivory is capable of displaying the Search Bar in the Menu area. I just haven’t figured out how to do it yet.

I’m making some progress. I got a magnifying glass to appear in the Menu. If I click on it, nothing happens. I can go to the Customising area but now matter how I change the settings nothing changes. I must be missing a step.

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

Please configure the plugin menu search setting as shown in the below screenshot.

Also, you can change the menu search form style as described below.

I don’t have the page you are showing, so I can’t make those settings.

Do you mean the Menu Search page in the plugin settings?

Could you please share the screenshot of the screen that you are getting?

For screenshots, you can simply provide a link to an image through Google Drive, Dropbox, screencast.com, http://imgur.com/ or other image service. 🙂

Here is the shortcode but I haven’t pasted it anywhere yet because I don’t know where to put it.

You don’t need to use any shortcode as you can display the search form in the menu as described below.

We already tried those things yesterday and they didn’t work for me.

Could you please tell me a bit more in detail what you have tried and what is not working for you?

I think it’s best to start over. I will download the plugin again.

I redownloaded and activated the plugin.

As you can see, a red magnifying glass has appeared in the Menu area. Perhaps the plugin is remembering some settings rom the first download.

I will attempt to follow the Documentation even though it is 2 years old.

This page tells you to select the Primary Menu.

I cannot find this page. The closest I can find is Ivory Search Settings/Menu Search. There are several settings to make. If this is the correct page, how should I proceed?
