    Hello,

Up until the update, we’ve been successfully adding new products to our WooCommerce shop and tagging them for Instagram Shopping.

Problem 1: We’ve recently found that new products we’ve added to WooCommerce aren’t appearing in our Instagram shopping but are showing in our Facebook catalogue with an error.

It’s saying there’s an error for Instagram shopping and the following:

    ‘Missing or Incorrect Data
This error may appear for up to 30 minutes after you make your updates.
    Product Not Visible: visibility
Product should be visible for Facebook to show it to users.’

When comparing published old/vs unpublished new products, I can see that the new products have an additional data field called ‘category’ which seems to be automatically filled out in place of ‘Product Type’. I can’t see anywhere we can change this within WooCommerce.

Problem 2: Some of our new items don’t appear at all in our Facebook catalogue. They’ve been published for Facebook in WooCommerce and set to sync with Facebook but it doesn’t appear to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as we really need these products for instagram shopping.

    Georgia

  • Hi Georgia!

    Thanks for reaching out!

Can you please tell us what version of the plugin you were using originally and what version you updated to?

It seems like you may have a sync hiccup happening. Could you please try starting a full all product sync manually?

You can trigger a sync by heading to the Facebook For WooCommerce settings screen in your WP-admin dashboard, then going to the products tab and looking for the Sync button near the top.

Please let me know if you’re still having issues after a full sync.

    Hello,

Thank you for your response. We’re now on version 5.6.

We’ve tried to finish the setup/re-connect multiple times already as it’s prompting us to do this – it’ll say ‘you’re all set’ and allow us to click ‘done’ but then it keeps taking us to an error page saying ‘something went wrong when connecting to Facebook! Please try again.’

It won’t allow us to initiate a product sync manually unfortunately.

    Hi @georgiaharris

it’ll say ‘you’re all set’ and allow us to click ‘done’ but then it keeps taking us to an error page saying ‘something went wrong when connecting to Facebook! Please try again.’

If you are seeing that exact error message then please do have a look at this FAQ in our documentation – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce/#something-went-wrong-when-connecting-to-facebook

Let me know how you get on!

    Thanks,
