Conditional logic does not work when roles changed

    I have made certain fields in the Profile form conditional on the role of the logged in user.
    As an example, email is said to be visible only to subscribed members. Registered members who have not subscribed will only see the first name.
    This works well when you first register. New users only see the first name.
    Once the user is subscribed the email is visible.
    So it works well until then.
    The problem occurs when the user unsubscribes and becomes just a registered member again. The email continues to be displayed – it seems to still treat the person as a subscribed member.

    Could you please try clearing the User Cache and see If the issue still occurs?

    Please go to WP Admin > Ultimate Member > Dashboard > see “User Cache” > click on the button ‘clear cache of x users’.

    Yes, that solves the issue. Thanks.
    How often should I be clearing the cache?

    But the conditional Menu issue is still there.

    Hi @champsupertramp I’ve got a similar issue when I change a user’s role.

    1) change users role
    2) user logs out and logs in.
    3) old menu for the role still showing, pages for old role blocked.
    4) pages for new role accessible via their url.

    I’m clearing my browsers cache – all files and cookies, I’m clearing the cache in UM.
    If I
    1) delete the user
    2) re-create the user
    3) delete UM cache

    everything works as expected according to their role and the site menu displays the correct menu. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m using Version 2.1.19 of UM with Elementor and Hello Theme.

    @meembat thanks for your original post. I had an issue with changing roles as well where the site menu for UM didn’t update to the new role for a day or so. I worked with wordpress.com and they added a clear cache menu for me to clear my wordpress.com site cache when we change a users role. they cautioned me that this can affect site performance while the cache rebuilds but it does solve the issue immediately. I thought I would post this here if anyone else runs into this issue.
