Domain redirection – http://x.com to http://www.x.com
-
Hi,
I have a blog at http://www.thebeautifulgroan.com and have full access over the domain and contents. I have recently moved hosting companies, and the old one ensured that the blog was reached no matter whether the www part was in the address or not – I’m not sure how.
With the new hosting company, http://thebeautifulgroan.com does not work, and any changes made to the .htaccess file (which would normally be used for this kind of redirection) are ignored because WordPress has its own redirection mechanism.
Is there any way, either in the WordPress php files, or the admin pages, to make it that the following URL:
http://thebeautifulgroan.com/XXXXX
redirects to:
http://www.thebeautifulgroan.com/XXXXX
(I wonder if there is a sample setting in index.php or the .htaccess files for this sort of thing)
The reason is – most of my readers have a saved feed of http://thebeautifulgroan.com/feed/, which no longer works.
Help!
Thanks,
Pete
