Shortcode in widget text

I’m trying to place a Slide Anything slideshow in the text area of a Call-to-Action widget. How should this be done?

Alternatively, is it possible to use JS and CSS within that same text area? Most HTML seemed to work so far, but not <style> and <script> tags.
