• We protect parts of our content for members-only with the WP-members plugin. Since recently we cannot activate new registrations anymore. Not in bulk, not individually. There is no error message. Once you click on ‘activate’, the site shows a blank page. We have now 61 users waiting to be activated.

We recently upgraded to wordpress 5.6 but downgraded again to 5.5.3 thinking that the problem would be solved. Which is not the case.

We always update plugins whenever a new version is available. The WP-members plugin version we use now is 3.3.7.1.

Any idea how we can solve this?

You do have the most recent version, and there are no currently known issues with activation. The fact that you’re getting a blank page would indicate a php error during the form (page) submission.

Make sure you test with debug mode enabled for WP so you can determine if there is a PHP/server error. (If you don’t know how to enable debug mode, see this post: https://rocketgeek.com/basics/running-wp-in-debug-mode/)

If there’s an error when running in debug mode, let me know what it is.
