• I am fairly new to WordPress so this might seem silly.

Essentially I am hosting my own version of WP 2.9.1 and have a blog that is password protected via the “Absolute Privacy” plugin. This plugin requires that users login (hence the password protect) to view my posts.

Given that most of the users of my blog will be older family members who are not very “computer literate” I created a single username and password that I sent to all members of my family. (I have set up that user as a subscriber.)

They can view posts just fine, but when they comment they all show as being authored by that default user name.

I was hoping there might be something that could allow them to enter their name (as you would on an unprotected blog that you weren’t logged into). That way I could keep the single user name but still allow them to comment on the posts with unique author names.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
