Once you enable multisite, adding and deleting plugins are no longer available for the individual site admin pages… You’ll need to go to the network admin dashboard and select plugins from there.
It’s also possible your username isn’t a super admin but if the site you setup the network from is the site you are using yourself then you are probably super admin.
One more caveat is you normally don’t want to ‘network enable’ the plugin you just installed unless it is network specific or you’ve been told to do so… You’ll normally enable a plugin per site.

as for the actual plugins:
I should only have the plugins on the main site and they will carry over to the subdomain? I copied duplicated the entire site to the subdomain so we could translate it to Arabic. So what you are saying that subdomain should not have any plugin installed there?

If that subdomain is on your multisite then the plugins you installed via the network admin pages will be in the subsite’s plugins page. You’ll enable them there for the subsite. If they are not there jump back to the network admin page and make sure they are installed.
If you enabled them network-wide then they will be enabled already (but that’s not always a good idea to enable plugins network-wide).
Okay All the plugin are present on the subdomain as they are on the main page as well., AND none of the plugins are enable on the network admin page.
So when I want to install a plugin in the future do I install it from the Network Plugin dashboard?
