    hello,

I see a lot of connexion attempts for several weeks. All failed.
Some with WordPress as user agent and using old (destroyed) administrator ID as Username.
I use plugin to move my login page (and limit number of connexion attempts) but bots guess the new url every time. It’s a bit worrying.

What does it means when user agent is “WordPress” ?
    Thanks

It seems that your side is under Brute Force Attack

I think that bot is using this user agent “WordPress”.

Since your login url is public, bots guess the new url every time.
If you want your customer to access the login page, the bots can also access that page.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks for your reply.

ok for WordPress as User agent.

I don’t understand why you said that my login url is public. It’s not. I use a plugin to move it from the default url to a new one, only known by me.
So I wonder how bots can guess it…

@sidjay I cannot say how bots keep guessing it.
You should also keep changing it on a regular interval.

    Hope this helps. 🙂
