Woocommerce Square Payment Methods

    Hello, I have setup Woocommerce Square with Woocommerce fetching inventory changes from Square. In order for a Woocommerce purchases to reflect in the inventory on Square, does a customer have to use the Square payment method? For example: we have option in the cart for a customer to select “check payment” and mail a check to us and Paypal is another payment option. So can these purchases with payment methods other than Square payment reflect in the inventory on Square?

    Thanks for reaching out!

    _Any_ stock adjustments will be synced from WooCommerce to Square including purchases made by _any_ payment gateway.

    @treibalen An item was purchased via selecting the “check payment” option, and the inventory in Square did not adjust to reflect the purchase. Perhaps it doesn’t change the Square inventory because check payments is an offline gateway. The order was automatically labeled as “on hold” to await the check. I changed the status to completed, and it still didn’t not update the Square inventory. I assume it would do the same thing if I used “Cash on Delivery” rather than “Check Payments”?

    Thanks for getting back to us!

    I tested both Cash on Delivery and Check Payments payment gateways, and with both of them, stock for my test product got synced to Square without any issues right after placing an order. Note that I tested with Square and WooCommerce as SORs.

    Is your product marked to be synced with Square? Does it have SKU?

    Also, do you see inventory updates for your product when you place your order?
