    Dear Autoptimize,

When performing a Google speedtest, I get the following message:
A long cache lifetime can speed up repeat visits to your page.

Is there any way to resolve this via Autoptimize?

Thank you very much in advance for your time!

    Kind regards,
    IADT

Autoptimize tries to make it so for the optimized CSS/ JS, but typically cache directive are set at webserver level, see e.g. https://varvy.com/pagespeed/cache-control.html for info on how to do that.

    hope this helps,
    frank

    Hi Frank,

Just a quick check to resolve any confusion, so even though Autoptimize doen’t manage any cache, they give the option to remove server cache via the plugin?

“cache” can mean a lot of things; the “long cache lifetime” mentioned in the topic is browser cache, on the server other types of cache are used, and Autoptimize’s cache is one of those, storing optimized JS & CSS 🙂
