Thanks for your feedback.
First of all it is not illegal. It is according to WordPress plugin guide line and has a close link to dismiss it.
Once you close it, It will not be displayed for next 15 days. It means ideally it display once in a month.
Most popular plugin like Updraft, Jetpack display admin notice to educate people about the features.

There is no ‘dismiss’ button. There is only a ‘closing cross’. The text shown is:
Use social sharing feature for Post with Blog Designer Pack Pro. Upgrade now Hot
Closing it doesn’t hide it. We see it every login! That’s way too much!
The given link ends up on on freemius selling page. It is not about educating people about the features. It’s ADVERTISMENT, SELLING, … and ANNOYING.
Please check your code and implement the dismiss button like stated. The better to dismiss all advertisement. We are using Updraft an a lot other plugins. No other than yours does it that way!

It looks like something wrong with your setup. My code is proper and it is according to WordPress plugin guidelines. I have checked it two times and dismiss button is working properly.
The Selling page is itself a landing page within plugin on which all the features has been described.

We are getting here a very generous free version of an excellent plugin that does a great job and also provides very good free support.
I don’t think we can complain if the author advertises his work and the premium version in our dashboard from time to time.
