Restricting Categories that users can post to

    Hi all. I’m really in need of something that hides all categories from users in the post editor except those which they are authorized to publish to. My blog is http://wphr.org and I have students from class posting there and I need to make sure they only use certain categories or I can’t differentiate their posts from regular users.

    I have looked at “Role Scope” and others but can’t seem to find anything that will let me specify that “users in this group only see these categories in the post editor.”

    “User-Cats Manager” looks like it would do the trick, but seems to be in a pretty shaky code state.

    Does anyone have any suggestions – it would be a real life saver.

    Ok, I just installed Level2Categories and I think it will work for what I need. IF there is anything out there that allows finer grained control, or allows you to authorize a user to see a subcategory but not it’s parent, I would really appreciate the suggestion!
