Feed Problems

    Ever since I upgrade to 2.9 i have been having feed problems.

    First of all I don’t have the /feed/ directory anymore, was this removed from 2.9?

    Second, I have tried using plugins: Google sitemap creator and xml sitemaps, but I keep getting feed validation errors?

    The URL does not appear to reference a valid XML file. We encountered the following problem: Unknown feed format encountered (The root element is [Element: <urlset [Namespace: http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9%5D/>%5D)

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?
