Greetings,

My client would like to connect their Square plugin while the website on the staging server to make sure the transactions go through. It sounds like the setup is specific to the website the plugin is installed on.

When the website goes live can the Square plugin’s settings be updated so the live site’s URL is the website transactions will be made from?

The website is in early development so no URL to share

Hi there,

Square’s settings are site-specific yes, so you can, and have to, update the Square plugin’s settings if the URL of your staging server and live server are different.

However, for your staging server, it sounds like Square’s Sandbox Mode is what you need for testing. Find out more about that here:
