Inconsistent Verification Emails and Registered Users unable to log in

I have done a full conflicts test and I am still facing the following problems:
1) Inconsistent sending of the verification emails. I have created multiple accounts to test the registration function and it seems that only 1/3 or so of these accounts receive the activation emails. I have checked the spam folder and all of that as well. Please advise on how to resolve this!
2) Previously, for the Users who were able to register successfully (they actually receive the activation email), the password that they chose at registration could not be used at log in. The site would inform them that the password was wrong and they needed to reset that password. After resetting, they were able to log in.
3) After creating more UM custom roles and custom profiles and registration forms, successful users are completely unable to log in regardless whether they have reset their passwords. The site would now inform the users to “Please enter your password” despite having already entered the password.
Kindly advise on the above. I really enjoy using this plugin and was even considering going for the extensions. I also really don’t wish to switch to another. Thank you!
