While I haven’t used it myself, I found this plugin while searching the WP Plugin Directory. Maybe something worth checking into? Warning: the Compatibility voting poll says the plugin doesn’t work with WP 2.9.1

yeah I’ve seen that. I purposely didn’t mention it because of the fact it looks broken.
I just tried “forum server” which is a fully integrated forum.
It’s a discontinued service mate.
WPForum’s newest beta plugin works with 2.9.1 but it gives an error message
