Elementor Popup keeps popping up

    Hi

    I have created a popup with Elementor. It works fine all except for the fact that despite the fact that I thought i had it set up to only pop up once when someone visits teh website. I have foud nthat if I close the popup, then navigate to another page on the website OR if I close the popup, cloe the wndow, then go back to my website, it pops up again!

    I have it set up as so:

    Conditions – Entire site
    Triggers – page load within 2 seconds
    Advanced Rules – the only one activated is @show up to X times@ and the number of times I have selected is 1 on open.

    What am I doing wrong?

    I have turned the popup off for now as it’s very annoying, so if you navigate to the website, it will not show up.

    I’m having a very similar issue. It pops-up the first time. People hit the button “OK” on the pop-up, which takes them to a new page, and the pop-up appears again on that new page, even though the show up X times is set to 1.

    As you can see, I never did get a reply. I ended up using Popup Maker. I used to use it, but thought you needed to pay to connect it to mailchimp, so was looking for a new solution. You don’t actually need the paid integration plugin anyway though, so I went back to using it once I had figured that out. I don’t use this feature much, yet, so no budget to pay for it this year.

    @beckseden @syndstrat the way I fixed this is by setting the following:

    in Advanced Rules set Show up to X times: to 1 On Open.

    AND

    In content > popup > I have Action set to ‘Close Popup’ and Don’t Show Again set to YES

    This worked for me – the show up to x times is explained more here if you’re interested https://elementor.com/help/popups/
