Backup WordPress and MySQL

I was wondering if I just copy and zip up my “wp-content” from my cpannel and copy and zip my MySQL database that is associated with the “wp-content” file, would that backup my entire WordPress site?

I know that it works when I do that when I want to work on my WordPress site locally. It uses the same admin password, all my plugins are actively running properly, content is the same, theme is the same, images are the same…everything runs great, locally…

But, can I use the method to backup my WordPress site?
