    Hi

    I know WP has a member system, but I was wondering if there’s a way to limit one group from accessing the dashboard?

    For example, by default all registered users when logged in they gain access to the dashboard, but I want to make it so that a certain user group when they log in/register they are automatically redirect back to the blog’s home page. Meaning they won’t see or have access to the dashboard at all.

    Also, how would I go about modifying the register.php page so that it resembles this site:

    www.allkpop.com/wp-login.php?action=register
    If I am correct, they’re using a heavily modified wordpress. Also where can I find the place to edit the logo that appears on the log in/register page? I would like to replace the default WP logo with my own.

    Your registration page can be modified by several plugins. See this search: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=custom+login&sort=

    I also found several ‘hide dashboard’ plugins, but they all seemed to allow users to view/edit their profile and I did not know if you wanted that. If so, do a google or plugin search for ‘hide dashboard’.

    ah thanks for the custom login plugin. is there a way to add a terms of agreement and captcha?

    also, for the member system I don’t want them to even have access to the dashboard or user back end pages. I need a way to set it so only allowed groups can access the dashboard sections, while other groups are redirect back to the homepage when they log in

    Sorry, I don’t have a complete answer. I thought some of the Member plugins mighe work, but apparently not.

    But is there a way to edit the coding so that once you log in you are sent back to the home page and not dashboard? Because that site I posted above was able to do it.

    Once I logged on at that site, I’m sent to the homepage and not dashboard
