I’ve just been thinking about the best practice on how I publish posts on my site.

I’ve got the image optimisation set to be processed by cron, but I’m thinking that if I upload some images and publish the post the page is going to be cached and the images cached to my cdn before the optimisation process has completed therefore neglecting the benefits of the image optimisation.

Would it be best practice to auto publish posts 30 mins later to give the image optimisation process time to run?

    Hi,

that sounds a good idea , but sometimes you can’t exactly control how much time it might take to optimize images

but yes , this strikes us something we didn’t think about before , will see if we can make some good approach for this.

    Best regards,
