WP, bbpress and buddypress – cache-control: no-cache, must-revalidate, max-age=0

    Plugin version: LiteSpeed Cache Settings v3.5.0.2
    Wordpress: Versjon 5.5.1
    php version: 7.1
    Server: Litespeed

    Setup:
    I have wordpress with bbpress and buddypress installed.

    Either I’m logged in our out, it doesn’t seem to cache anything at all.
    Not normal wordpress sites, not frontpage, not bbpress and not buddypress.

    From Networks tab, this is what shows:
    cache-control: no-cache, must-revalidate, max-age=0
    Server: LiteSpeed
    x-litespeed-cache-control: no-cache
    x-powered-by: PHP/7.1.33

    It does not say it’s “hit” anywhere, and the site is now quite slow.

    In the plugin settings, the cache is set to ON
    I also have Cache Logged in users set to ON

    Nada..

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    The site is not live yet, so I don’t want to add the link in here.

    This happened after the update.
    Before it did work, although bbpress became impossible, so I turned the Litespeed Cacheplugin off.

    I updated the plugin a few days ago, and when I activate it now, there is no cacheing going on.

    The website is running on https:// but like this for testing purposes: sub.domain.com

    Hi,

    cache-control: no-cache, must-revalidate, max-age=0 —> this is generated by WordPress itself and completely normal

    x-litespeed-cache-control: no-cache —> could you please try enable ESI and see how it goes ?

    Was away on vacation.
    Just tried enabling ESI.

    When logged in:
    x-litespeed-cache-control: no-cache,esi=on

    The site is unfortunately even slower with ESI on.

    When logged out: No differnce from before. Still seems as there is no cache.

    I am on a litespeed server, but the cheapest litespeed alternative at my host. Would this perhaps affect the actual litespeed-wp-plugin?

    I have another site at http://www.domain.com, also a WP installation, but no buddypress and no bbpress. This is the same server as the one I am troubleshooting now. When litespeed-plugin is activated on this one, the site is ligtning fast.

    Hi,

    please enable debug log , and see the reason for no-cache

    if I recall correctly , bbpress and/or buddypress will set it into no-cache.
