Freemius API

Received this message in my wordpress dash: “Oops… Your server is blocking the access to Freemius’ API, which is crucial for Bard Pro synchronization. Please contact your host to whitelist api.freemius.com, wp.freemius.com
Error received from the server:(object) array( ‘code’ => ‘6’, ‘message’ => ‘ Could not resolve host: api.freemius.com’, ‘type’ => ‘CurlException’, )

I’ve contacted my server. They say they do not block any APIs.
I have only Akismet, Getty Images, Yoast, Widget Importer, Contact Form 7 as plug ins.
any suggestions on how I resolve this?
