• Environment:
    PHP version 4.3.10
    MySQL version 4.0.23-standard
    Apache version 1.3.33 (Unix)
    Wordpress version 1.5 nightly 21 Jan 2005

When I reach step 2 of install.php, I get this block 9 times, followed by a large block of MySQL errors, followed by this block repeating 9 more times:

Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /home/username/public_html/log/wp-admin/upgrade-functions.php on line 328

Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /home/username/public_html/log/wp-admin/upgrade-functions.php on line 332

Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /home/username/public_html/log/wp-admin/upgrade-functions.php on line 335

Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /home/username/public_html/log/wp-admin/upgrade-functions.php on line 338

I run this same nightly on my local machine without problem, stats as follows:
    Apache 2.0.48 (Win32)
    PHP 4.3.7
    MySQL 3.23.49

    Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Update your Zend optimizer to the latest version or reinstall it. I’m using 2.5.7
