Hello @sdingemanse,
Thanks for reaching out!
On viewing the page source of https://stefandingemanse.com/2020/09/29/windows-virtual-desktop-videos-from-microsoft-ignite-2020/, we can confirm that Twitter meta tags are correctly outputting as expected. As such, Yoast SEO is working well by adding required meta tags for Twitter. And using the Twitter Card Validator, we got:
ERROR: Fetching the page failed because the request timed out.
We are not sure why the validator is throwing that error. Clearly, Twitter is unable to retrieve the image. We suggest that you reach out to the Twitter Community forum for more support as this particular error has been discussed on their forums. Possible causes are server-side and SSL certification; your web hosting provider may also be able to provide some pointers.
Hi @maybellyne
Thank you for your quick response. Will try it over there, still not getting this to work with wordpress.

I just tested this with Open Graphite addin and forced http for the images.
Hi @sdingemanse,
Thank you for your reply.
We would advise you to not run 2 plugins that output similar meta tags on your site.
We checked the Yoast output now but that is fairly limited at this time. We also used the Twitter Card Validator tool and still see issues regarding Twitter being able to reach your site:
ERROR: Fetching the page failed because the fetcher cannot resolve the address.
In this case, we would recommend checking the server logs if you can find anything related to this. If you need any help doing so, or you don’t have access to the logs, please ask your web host to check this for you.
We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance please create a new issue.
