    hey all,

I’m looking at using this plugin to create a site to review photography zines, the idea is anyone can leave a review, but i will be admin and delete any inappropriate content.

i only want simple functions, book name, book review, title, author, link, review, genre.

    appreciate any help

    Hello,

The “reviews” created by this plugin are just regular WordPress posts with extra information added on. So you can have these users sign up on your website as a “Contributor” and then they can create review that you have to publish/approve.

To remove features you do not want you can disable them in the plugin settings “Components” tab.

thanks for the reply so fast!

Ok I understand, but how would I get a user to only be a contributor, i dont want to manually do everything.

So a book review is a just a post really? I cant do book grids or specify how many reviews should appear on the home page?

In WP general settings there is an option to set the default role for new user default role.

That is all dependent on your theme and what it allows.

If you are talking about user submitted reviews via a form on the frontend, the plugin does not have that feature.

It was a feature request early out but I decided against it as it opens up the website for malicious attacks via that form. I do not want to be held responsible for any repercussions from such as feature.
