    Hello,

First, thanks for your work on this plugin. I’m working for an online media and we have a WordPress multisite installation. We have one installation per language and all of our versions just have : /fr – /de – /es at the end.

We want to add a feed to Google News with your plugin, however we have two problems. The RSS feed only work for the main version (the English one in this case, for another versions we have a 404 error) and also, when you try on Google News Editor to put the link of the RSS Feed, no article appears. When I look on the W3 validator, I get an error on the first line telling me that the feed is not valid. Can you help us?

Thanks a lot for your help!

  • Hi Gronemo,

First, the empty section – right now the feed isn’t validating because of empty lines at the top of the feed.

If you look at the html source code of your site, you’ll see this affects all of your pages. It doesn’t break html, but it does break the feeds.

Here are some recommendations for dealing with this issue here:

For the 404 issues… GN Publisher has not been tested very much with multisite installations, so I’m not sure if that’s what’s causing this or not, but it look like it’s taking over the standard feed url for your versions in other languages. For example, https://voyapon.com/de/feed/ works and is generated by GN Publisher. I’ll be looking into what’s causing that,

    Chris
