The server 500 error means there is something about the server that is generating an error. We would like some more information.
1. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.5.1? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.
2. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?
3. Can you confirm your server has all the right requirements? If you are not sure, speak to your host provider. This guide explains more: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/plugin-requirements/.
4. Can you confirm the server is correctly configured? Your host provider can help. They may also need to whitelist Ryte.com as well.
WordPress version
5.5.1
PHP version
7.3
PHP memory limit – 256M
Extension mysqli
Server version 5.7.26-29-log
Client version mysqlnd 5.0.12-dev
Yes all plugins are updated automatically and the theme is also updated.
The website is hosted on GoDaddy and i had a long call with them regarding maintenance and security yesterday. So i’m sure the server has all the right requirements and is correctly configured or they would have pointed out in case there was something missing.
@conrad2507 Thanks for your reply and for confirming those details.
As for the issue, we checked on your site https://www.cybermak.net/ and do see it is being indexed in a Google search here. Also, we reviewed your robots.txt athttp://cybermak.net/robots.txt and there is nothing in it preventing the site from being indexed, nor did we find any robots meta tags in the source code set to noindex.
We’d also recommend that you please check your site in Google Mobile-Friendly Test and see whether there are any indexing issue reported. This guide explains more: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/your-site-isnt-indexable/.
If the Google Mobile Tester is able to find the site but Fetch the Current Status does not resolve the issue, then the issue is with Ryte. We suggest either ignoring it or contacting Ryte for more information as to why they are unable to find the site. We use Ryte to provide a courtesy check, however sometimes they report false positives. If you wish to contact Ryte you can do so here: https://support.ryte.com/hc/en-us. Additionally, if you have concluded that the warning is a false positive and wish to disable the Ryte check we have instructions on how to do this here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/disable-indexability-check/
As for the 500 error itself, that type of error will be logged on the server along with a more specific reason for the error. You may not have access to the server error log where the details of the 500 error are located, but if you ask for this information from your hosting provider they should be able to provide it upon request.
We would recommend for you to check with your hosting provider and see whether they are able to review their log files for the server and provide more specific information for the 500 error.
We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance please create a new issue.
