Sliders Not Working in Firefox ONLY

    Hello there…

    My portfolio sliders are no longer working in Firefox and Firefox only. I’ve updated all my plug-ins, latest Pro Nikkon theme installed as well as latest Firefox browser. Restarted, replaced images, cleared cache and history and had others test it and sliders on portfolio page work great in EVERY OTHER BROWSER save for Firefox.

    In Firefox the images show up for half a second (like they’re being blocked) and the toggle-between-slides dots are at the top. If you click on the dots, a white box with a progress spinner appears and the dots move to the correct position below the white box, HOWEVER the white box doesn’t ever populate and the progress spinner never goes away. Fairly new issue, within past two months.

    I’ve reached out to Nikkon support and GoDaddy support for help and tried their suggestions (above done items). I really don’t want to have to recreate the entire portfolio page unless I have to. Any ideas for troubleshooting to fix?

    Please try installing https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/ to see if that fixes the issue.

    Thank you, downloading now — on a conference call (who isn’t these days) but wanted to respond as quickly as you did. I’ll let you know in about an hour if it works!

    Installed and activated, unfortunately still seeing issue in Firefox and overall site speed seems much slower. Assuming not a time limit thang/should be instant and thinking I should deactivate and uninstall since no change — any other thoughts?

    OK, so that wasn’t it. Remove that plugin.

    What plugin are you using for your sliders?

    Believe it’s “Content Sliders” within Beaver Builder from the original Nikkon theme.

    And just as an FYI, here’s what the theme developer had to say:

    I’m not sure this would be a theme issue… I see you’re using another slider there (flex slider or in the code I see “fl-slide”) so maybe it’s best to contact the plugin developers. Shelly note: I don’t have a plugin for Flex Sliders?

    OR… It look like you’re also using a caching plugin to minify the files, this often causes an issue by combining files together… Maybe try deactivating the caching plugin to see if that fixes it. Tried this, didn’t seem to work, plus technically “mandatory” from theme perspective.

    I think it’ll be best to ask the Slider developers as I’m not sure what would cause the issues there. Not sure who to ask so that’s when I went to GoDaddy and now you’re the lucky askee : )

    I know the browsers have started to add in Lazy Loading which means it only loads the images as the screen scrolls down. Not seeing that anywhere else?

    That’s a bummer. Is there another slider that works with my existing theme that I could use instead of whatever I’ve got now? I loathe having to rebuild that page but will do it if that’s the only solve.
