Edit themes blocked

    Suddenly I cannot edit any theme in dashboard. I thought something was wrong on hosting level but they said I need to post here.

    I like to make special error pages and there are a few other things.

    Please assist.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    Yep. Tried not only the default theme but about 8 others. Yes on the deactivated plugins also.

    What exactly happens when you try to edit a theme file? Do you simply need to make the file writable?

    Hello I am having the same problem I loaded a bookmark plugin today then logged out. When I logged back in I could not edit themes, widgets plugins. Infact everything down from tools is gone and I cannot edit my pages. Really frustrating.
