TOC in sidebar

The built-in WP Text widget worked perfectly. To do this:

1) Goto Appearance > Customize > Widgets and drag the Text widget into the preferred widget area
2) Go back to the WP page editor and add the TOC to the page
2) Switch to that page’s Code Editor
4) Copy and paste the TOC HTML from the page into the widget’s text field (Be sure to select the “Text” tab in the Text widget)
5) Verify that the TOC is appearing in the sidebar as intended
6) Delete the TOC HTML from the page content area
7) The TOC should now appear in the widget area and not in the content area
