• Looking around at some other’s wp sites, I’m seeing the same thing.
It doesn’t appear to effect the functioning, but is a bit confusing not to mention annoying.

On the comment page, after the following line:

“Line and paragraph breaks automatic, e-mail address never displayed, HTML allowed: “

    This line of code appears:

    <a href="" title="" rel=""> <b>
    <blockquote cite=""> <em> <i> <strike> <strong>

Surely it”s not suppose to be there?

    TIA,

    vinic

(after posting above, I notice some code appearing on the support page just below the “Send Post” button:

” Allowed tags: a em strong code ul ol li blockquote.
    Put code in between backticks.”

I’m running WindowsXP with SP2 if that helps.)

    Ooops,

    Here’s the site in question:

    http://peacefulbend.com/wordpress/

Looks like the code I put in my post was partially read!

[Moderator: Post fixed so code displays properly]

    Vinic,
That code is supposed to show up. It tells your site visitors what HTML code they are allowed to use when they post a comment.

Thanx for the timely response (and the fixed post).

Most of my readers will not know what this is. Would it be difficult to edit this out?

BTW, this might read better if it said something to the effect, “The following is the HTML code allowed”. I orginally read this as all “HTML allowed:”

    Vinic,

You can edit this by going in to the wp-comments.php file, at around line 51.
