Although I’ve updated the translations here: https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/nextgen-gallery/, the plugin strings don’t reflect the changes.

It seems you are using a different text domain (nggallery) in your plugin, instead of your plugin’s slug (nextgen-gallery), and that’s why language packs are not used. Is there a reason for this?
